Evaluation

In this music project we originally planed on recording a country song and filming a country music video that are commonly filmed outdoor but after considering the time of year and the weather and listening to the other backing tracks we loved the idea of an techno music video and straight away we were planning for bright lights and futuristic effects.

We choose a backing track that we enjoyed and liked in and we knew because we liked it we would have more fun working with the song this made it so we were thinking about our video as each line of our song was written we wanted to make a song about our dependence on electronic devices after realizing not a day goes by that we do not use one and from there we started to have ideas on what to do with the video.

For the video our idea was to have a blacked out room with our dancers in it covered in glow sticks this will have the effect of dancing stickmen and they would be glowing so all that you can see of the dancers is the glow sticks this would give a non human effect that will make the video different from others that have been done

When we were filming there were 4 issues that we could have avoided with a little more planning before we filmed. One of these was that we did not have our music with us on the set as we filmed this would make it so our dances would find it very hard to keep time in our video luckily we had a song that had the beat as our song so we were able to use it in filming so our dances had something to go along to. Another issue that we faced was that we knew because we had to buy the glow stick and other props needed for this video we would only have one day to film the whole video and finally the last issue we faced links to the second issue that is we only had the one day and we had to teach our dancers the choreography on the same day as we were filming this meant that we did not have all the time that we could have had for filming a way to fix this would have been to go through the choreography the day before filming this would mean that we would not need to film it or go through any of our props because we would be just teaching our dancers what to do.

When we started our project we planned on having a interesting different music video that would stand out from the crowd and be something that would challenge us so we would have to think about different ways to film
